The Model 5 CO2 Fogger is used to visualize airflow patterns in cleanrooms.  The fog is produced when a 1 lb. block of dry ice is placed in the heated DI water reservoir.  This is NOT an on demand fogger.  It will continue to produce the fog until the dry ice has been consumed.  During operation it can be unplugged and carried to the area to be tested.

 

 

 

 

The CO2 Fogger wand is designed to allow the user to select the type of fog dispersed from the wand, e.g., jet fog (top photo) or curtain fog (this photo).  Simply sliding the end of the wand will select the desired fog pattern.

Storage and Transport Case

 

This hard shell, foam lined case has wheels and a pull-handle to protect the Fogger when not in use and to prevent loss of the individual parts, e.g., Fogger, hose, wand, cooler and DI water container.

 

 

 

Model 460 Insta-Ice™ Dry Ice Block Maker

 

Attach the hose to a cylinder of liquid CO2 and the other end to the block maker, open cylinder valve and a 1 lb. block of dry ice will be made in approximately 2 minutes.

 

Answers to frequently asked questions about CO2 Foggers

 

  • Carbon dioxide (CO2) in normal conditions (lack of high heat) is stable, inert and non-toxic.

 

  • The average atmosphere, including cleanrooms, contains ~3.3% of CO2.

 

  • The average person exhales ~5.5% CO2.

 

  • The CO2 used in this Fogger is the same CO2.  It is not in particle form.  There are no carbon particles or any residue left from contact with the vapor.  Only a small amount of water vapor droplets.

 

  • Liquid CO2 as used in our Model 460™ Dry Ice Block Maker can be purchased as pure as 0.99999%.

 

  • CO2 is used in many specialized ultra pure cleaning applications in the semiconductor and other industries in the form of “snow”.

 

  • No, disinfectants or other additives cannot be added to the water.

 

  • No, this fogger is not intended to eliminate insects or pests.  It is a visible vapor generator.
